Put a game on your 404

One line

Pick a game, copy the snippet, paste it into your error page. Nothing to download and no files to host — the game loads from here, so it keeps working however deep the missing URL is. Your server keeps returning its own 404 status; an iframe does not change it.

Notes for your setup
  • Keep the 404 status. Serve your error page with HTTP 404 as you do now. Do not swap it for a redirect or a meta refresh — those turn the 404 into a 302 or 200 and confuse crawlers.
  • Content Security Policy. If your site sets one, add https://goandude.github.io to frame-src.
  • Offline or air-gapped sites. The snippet loads from this origin, so it needs the visitor to reach it. To self-host instead, copy the game's files out of the repo and point the snippet at your own copy.
  • Any size works. The aspect-ratio above is just a tidy default — the game fits whatever box you give it, letterboxing rather than cropping, so change it freely.
  • Want a link back? Add &credit=1 to the URL for a small "More games" link in the corner. It is off by default so the embed adds nothing to your page you did not ask for.
  • Scores save to your visitor's browser, scoped to your site. Nothing is sent anywhere.
